Deborah Christensen

November 26, 1947 to
August 26, 2009

Originally from Massachusetts, Deborah left the United States for Africa in 1980 with her husband and two sons where she has lived in various countries since. A professional educator, she has published materials for mothers, children, women, and teachers. She has taught children, youth, and adults in a variety of capacities. After battling cancer in 1992, she began an investigation of different healing paradigms. As a result of her personal journey, she developed and continued to run women’s reflection circles focusing on spiritual healing through discovering one’s true self. She regularly made presentations, offered workshops, and counseling using the Oneness Model as it relates to personal healing and transformation. She lived with her family outside Pretoria, South Africa until her passing in August, 2009.

As with many births, The Lore Model, came by way of a glorious, yet extremely painful process, and is dedicated to the precious life of Debbie Christensen, my best friend, and the collaborator of the Oneness Model Books and materials, and also the originator of the many reflection circles that support the evolution and growth in human development throughout the world. At the end of this last summer, Debbie passed away, with a swiftness that left all who knew her breathless. Perhaps this world of ours never had the chance to know one of it’s great human advocates, or the champion of the lost, the victim, the dis-empowered, or the disenfranchised. She was ever reminding us to awaken to our true nobility, addressing all—victim and perpetrators alike to be accountable, always accountable, so that we could finally claim the freedom to find our true purpose, and to carry it out, while on earth.
